What a suprise ..NOT.
The UK copyright maximalists want it all their own way, they want extended opportunities to grab revenues from from back catalogues which they are happy to take from the govt but the flip side of that was to allow people to format shift music they had purchased, if they want to go back on the entire deal then lets do as they want and ignore the elongated copyright time span, we reject any deal that's unfair to the consumer, the original terms was 50 years protection so that's the time frame they are now protected for, you cant pick and choose the bits of the law you want, no deal is no deal I say, anything over 50 years old made in the UK is now open season
