Privacy eh
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/07/21/eprivacy_plans_reviewed/The European Commission's proposed ePrivacy law needs significant amendments, particularly on location tracking and keeping people's communications confidential, according to an in-depth study.
The report (PDF), written by five experts from the Institute for Information Law at the University of Amsterdam, says that in some cases the proposals would reduce the protection offered by the incoming General Data Protection Regulation, which the ePrivacy reg is meant to complement.
Its very pleasing to see a discussion on such important matters, often we dont see or hear about such topics until the politicians have decided everything for us to suit their "donators" wishes, Open and transparent law making is something that should be the norm however this is a welcome slice of consumable content (intellectually wise) in an otherwise cardboard flavoured debate.
