I have dsl but i can't download from other faster users i can download from unknown users but nobody eles which its hard considering when i search all i see is cable dsl and t3 t1 why is that i never had this problem before

i have windows xp
DSL
not sure what firewall i have

Sounds like you're in trouble with fake files. take a look at this page:

Also, along with reading up on the fakes, be sure your search settings havent changed..

The one I mean is the Any Connection button under where you type in what your searching for.

When you click this you can choose to limit your search to any connection from Unknown to T1 or faster only.. this may be part of your problem althought I suspect the Fakes is a major issue for you at this time.
