Connections not closed with ws2_32.dll version 2.0

Hello,

I recently updated the ws2_32.dll from www.winmxgroup.com with version 2.0 and I'm using WinMX 3.54 beta 4. I found that a lot of connection never get closed successfully, they stay in the CLOSE_WAIT state. So after running for days, I get hundreds of such connections. This has never happened with previous versions of the fix.
The remote address of these connection is usually ireland.winmxgroup.com or germany.winmxgroup.com
I'm using Windows Server 2003.
I hope that you will report this to the developers, because I'll have to switch to version 1.9

I also noticed the samething using the M$ ME .dll v2.0 patch.
I have to manually close the CLOSE_WAIT state with TCPView.

Hi Happy User, you are correct in your observation and the developer is aware of this activity with the patch.
I used netstat and saw the same thing during the early days of 2.0.
Luckily it does not always do the described action but I believe KM is working on a version that fixes this activity at the moment.
