I've been using Ouka since its initial release. Its a great program, and I recommend it highly. The new one works perfectly.

i have been trying to work with ouka but having a problem when trying to redirect from a ouka chat server to a rcms based room it kicks me from the ouka room but doesnt send me to the rcms room instead it sends a ghost of me and i have to have one of my other admins kick my ghost before i can get back in can someone help me and tell me why its doing that?

This is a problem that many of the earlier Oukas suffered from, are you using the latest version Md ?

I did run an Ouka room for a while and experienced this problem at first hand so I know how annoying it is, its basically all due to the way the software speaks to the other room before it transfers the users, manually redirecting users was more succesful, but a room redirect usually ended in a disaster    

I thought this had been fixed so please let me know your setup

this is a bug caused by a mixture of ouka and winmx...

when winmx 3.53+ gets a redirect it joins the new room before leaving the old one, in this case it could be half way through joining the new one and the old one kicks it, so it closes the channel window (as it has been kicked from the room) - it also "forgets" about the fact it was half way through joining the new room, causing a ghost to stay in the new room

if you have winmx set to keep the channel window open when it gets kicked then the redirect should work fine, however this is hardly a solution, if ouka kept the connection to the user open after redirecting (ie. just send a redirect, don't kick) then it would solve this problem

I had the same problem with WCS when implimenting exile at first - that's how i found out why it happens

i just need to know how to do what ur saying km, and hopefully that will work because that would be great and sry if i sound like a pest just trying to figure out ouka.

not much you can do about it, it is something about how ouka works, it needs to be fixed in the server itself...

thanks ghost ship but that version did not address the problem still kicking me out of the room and not putting me in the new room

Aww sorry to hear that Md, he is probably hearing the same info from others and will be working on another release pretty soon  

I,ll keep my eyes open for a new release.
