No Matter What The Bitrate If You Have Background Noise In The Audio File
You Are Going To Have Some Difficulty Removing It. There Are Some Commercial
Programs Around, A Couple Of Which I Have Tried, Which Promise The World At The
Click Of A Button, But none Of Which I Have Found To Be Remotely Succesful. There
Are Lots Of Free Wave Editors, I persnally Use Creative Wave Editor, Which Is Not Free,
But i Find To Be The Best.
Unfortunately When You Remove Noise Which Is At A Certain frequency You Also Remove
Other Sounds In The File Of The Same Frequency And So By Trying To Improve The
Quality Of You Sound File You Actually Are Making it Worse.
Probably The Easiest Way To Achieve Better Results Is To Play The Sound File Through
An Equalizer And Adjust The Suspect EQ frequency Band Down A Little To Reduce The
Background Noise And Then RE-Record The File Through The EQ..
The Wave Editor Will Help To Remove Any Snap, Crackle And Pops But Use Sparingly As
You Can Also Remove other Sounds If Your not Careful. The Good Thing About This
Editing Is It Is NON DESTRUCTIVE EDITING Which means You Can Edit And Play Back The
Result To Listen To But Unless You Actually Save The Resultant File It Will Not Make Any
Changes To Your Original File.
Hope This Helps You A little Bit
