I have been using WinMX v3.31 for years.
I am considering to upgrade it to newer version, but not sure if it can support Chinese or Languages other than English.

Please help if you could!

As far as I'm aware no support for languages has been removed, however if you wish to be cautious, you can always rename your existing winmx folder, then install the newer version, if you don't like it, you simply delete the new winmx folder & rename the old one back.

Bearded is correct kwfine,

The support is there in all versions, and here are the links to the language txt files needed to make them work:

chinese simplified - 3.3x
chinese simplified - 3.53
chinese traditional - 3.3x
chinese traditional - 3.53
Other languages

Have a look at our archive for language files:

http://httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/WinMX%20Language%20Files/

The language files for 3.53 will usually work for 3.54 beta4 too, just one or two buttons may not work.

To load a language file just go to Settings > Load Language From File and point it to where you saved the language file, restart WinMx and you're done :-)

I have copy the whole WixMX folder in the 'Program Files" as a backup
In case the HDD has to be formatted, I think I will paste this backup file to the 'Program Files" so that I have not to install the WinMX program again.
Do you think it is feasible ?

Yes, that works fine.
The only things you will lose are the ability to uninstall it from the control panel and the link to it in your start menu and desktop.
You can simply make shortcuts to both winmx and the uninstaller if necessary though, so no problem. :-)
