please help i have visited the Portforward.com Router section but it does not list my router. it is a philips SNA6500 there are only 2 on your list and they have different model numbers. i am going through your help pages step by step but i am now stuck

Okay Debbie,

As I mentioned in the pm earlier we dont run the Portforward.com site and they infact have a forum there if you would like to tell them about your model not being on that site.

I usually will make a page myself of offer advise based on manuals you can find around the net, however this model is not coming up.  Here is my best advice. Call Phillips and ask them to help you forward your ports. If this was provided by your Internet Service provider then call them instead.  They are usually all to happy to help you configure it to your liking.  Remember you need to open both a TCP port and a UDP port for your WinMx settings.

Default is usually 6699 TCP and 6257 UDP.

Until then you can always set your WinMx to Unable to Send or Listen by going to Settings > Internet Connections > Incoming TCP and IN/OUT UDP.. set them to Unable.. then restart in secondary.. this should get you rolling at least until you can configure for primary.
