hi there,

i have been trying for some time to get the rabbit bot working, the connection patch simply made the problem worse as the bot shuts down now as soon as it enters the room

plzzzzzzz help

Hi Tom , sorry to be a pain but could you download the patch once more and try again as I had to update the file because this problem was spotted and for folks linking to it from other sites
I used the same name, but it is a different file.

Let me know if your still having difficulties

hi ghostship,

i re downloaded it a couple of hours before your post, and the bot now crashes after about 30 mins of being in the channel.

Hmm I,ll have to speak to KM on this one as the modification should not have affected its stability

Same thing happened to me when I first patched the bot...it would barely get into the room and got dropped saying bad characters int he user ID, I just erased the name and retyped it in the main window of the rabit and it worked after that with no further problems...

Well, I spoke too soon...Mine is doing the same thing now...in channel for 30 minutes and drops out with no error or apparent problems...

And I forgot to add a 'b' in the above post, so to correct it now, I'll add an extra one: Rabbbit

ok ppl, i think i did it how to get rabbit to stay in room.....
wen its re-installed u unpack the source to the folder with the wpn but didnt patch it, it didnt connect in room untill i entered it on through using the loop ip to gain room acces & it connected and has been there over 6 hours so far.... yesssssss

I have spoken to KM and he confirms there is a small bug in Rabbit that is likey to intermittently cause an error, as many of you know Rabbit is available with src code so perhaps any of you who code could take a peek to spot the annoyance, I dont think it will be a simple one to spot and as I happen to know KM is busy I dont want to use his time on this problem.

Lets see who can find the bug first folks : )
