l am using both eng. verson of wins98 se and winmx, everytime l try to paste and copy those chinese and japanese letters to the search box, it appears in ??????, l tried to load the winmx language file, but it still appears as ????/, and worse is all enghlish letter turns into some symbols which are not either english or chinese, cause my eng. windows cant recognizne any chinese or japanese letters, is there any way to solve this problem?

You will need to add support for Non-English languages in your windows system, go to control panel and look under "Regional and Languages" then select "Languages" and then tick for "Asian Language Support", you can also add a specific language too using the advanced panel.

l cant find Regional and Languages in control panel, are u sure it exits in win98se?

Oops my mistake for rushing there  :oops:

 I,m sure its in the control panel but it may well appear under another name, have a look about on there, I,ll ask around before putting my foot in my mouth again as its been a while since I used 98
