Can anyone help please.....I keep getting an intermitant disconnection fron the internet while downloading films, this can be so frustrating as i go to the back of peoples queue each time it happens.......Ive tried running winmx without my xp firewall running and my virus checker dissabled but i still get this intermitant disconnection from the internet.......any advice would be much appreciated as its driving me mad not knowing why this is happening.......yours oxygen2206@yahoo.com

are you using a primary connection? as this is a common problem for some systems using a primary connection - try a secondary connection if you are and it should fix it.

i assume you mean your entire internet connection crashes?

what type of connection is your modem? (ie is it a USB modem, through a network card, through a router, etc...)

i'm connected through a cable modem........and my connection to the internet gets interupted enough to throw me out of all the queues on winmx and results in me having to restart queueing again.I think the problem is to do with my I.P provider (faulty modem)but wasn't sure and wanted to know if other people had had this problem, and if so what the outcome was...

unfurtunately there are several different things that can cause it, losing your place in queues can simply be the connection refreshing when you are on secondary, secondary doesn't normally cause connection problems. On a primary connection its not uncommon for connection crashes to occour, these normally occour on modems connected through USB or on some NAT routers though.

when this is happening, check if your connection goes down completely or if its just winmx - both on primary and secondary, as i said it could be the 2 unrelated things
