A little web digging on WinMX

I did a basic search on WinMX tonight on AOL. I did this just to see in some kind of way what the average "Joe Shmoe" might come across if he wanted to download some music, never had, and just did a search with "download music" as the search option and found the results with WinMX in them. This is some of the results I found. I hope it helps at least a little.

These sites all have active downloads for WinMX 3.53:

Nearest I can tell these sites either think WinMX is down or just haven't updated their articles to show any new ways to connect to or download WinMX:

With these sites the only thing I can figure is they are just using the WinMX name in their headers so they will show up in search but they actually have no link for refferal, downloading, or even basic general information on WinMX use(Other I believe they are riding on the coat tails of the WinMX name):

There were 3 out of 15 links that I checked that were just dead end links. I honestly didn't think to include them at the time but wish I had. But I also figure they are probably dead end links for a reason

Ive looked through these and from what I can see none seem to be offering WinMx for a fee.  *whew*...Although,
This one has a Download here button and a Add to Cart button.

This is exactly what we need to do, but after the research look into contacting such sites and making sure they are up to date.
