ok, this is really wierd, 3rd time now my firewall has blocked winmx from using excel to send mass mailing, anyone else hear of that?
It traces it right to my winmx.exe where it is installed, what could be doing this? and I don't even use excel, I use outlook express, just glad my firewall has been catching it.

erm, what exactly is it saying? because that sounds, erm, odd...

some firewalls incorrectly think winmx is trying to send email (like when it tries to communicate with someone who is using port 25, and some firewalls assume "port 25, email, block!") however I've not heard of any mention of excel...?

in my firewall log... it shows the path...C:\PROGRAMFILES\WINMX.EXE
Application...... WINMX APPLICATION
Description...... Send Mail For Mass Mail (SMTP)

and when the warning pops up to alert me it says..... Application Winmx.exe tried to send mass mail using Excel.

someone mentioned I might have a worm, but I have recently restored to an old ghost copy I knew was clean cause it was a clean install. and I've run several scans and can't find anything more than cookies. I really hope this is notthing, but I have never seen this before in my almost 4 years of suing winmx.
