Author Topic: Files not alphabetical when browsing other users (Read 1598 times)

Hi there. Reconnected again thanks to the patch. When I browse people now their lists are not alphabetical like they used to be. Have I just inadvertently changed a setting or is this the way it is now? This is with the "Show Full Paths" button off which is how I used to be able to browse and get nice alphabetical lists.

Would appreciate any suggestions or help.

Files in a browse sort by whatever column you click the heading of, & reverse the order if you click the heading again, therefore by a simple click in the browse window you can sort alphabetically by filename, by bitrate, file type or whatever you find helpful.

Is anyone getting downloadas or uploads .I have no problem connecting primary .But cannot upload to others keep timing out .I have completley deleted and reinstalled pal exactly as told .
had my cable exec on the fone and comp. kevin campbell he says nothing wrong with my station.should not have any problems but still cannot download or upload to others . Can anyone help is anyone getting files and if so how .Using 6699=6257. Have lots come online try but time out .Gus.

Hey Gus,

Are you using a router?

If so, its sounds like its not configured correctly, visit www.portforward.com , select your make and model from the list, then select Winmxl, then follow the instructions on screen.

If you got no router, please post further details:

Firewall?
ISP?

I do not use a router. Have winmx 354betta through a Gnet adsl modem direct fone line .My whole system is set up as a complete seperate system . No more problem winmx working great running better than a thousand uploads a day. also I noticed the files are not alpha like they used to be I was at a Grandsons who brought mine up and it was all mixed up a even one file mixed in the centre of a complete other file .also the file was broken up so he had to realy search to make sure he had found them all .Very time consuming.All my 5 ft of snow gone no more hard water to walk on .Have a grt day God Bless. I refer you to the post furthur back in the thread, the file sorting in browse can be changed/redone on a single click on column heading, for which criteria you wish to sort on (name, size, bitrate, type, etc.) if it's sorting on something other than name, the list often appears confusing.
