Josh I dont know if you have noticed this but we are fully against making a fast buck off winmx users, once someone moves away from the community and doing things because you want to, things always go downlhill.

There is a more effective way of advertising winmx and its right in front of you, its called google and you are free at any time to visit rival network sites and winmx friendly sites to drum up support as well as looking for reasonable opportunities to plug winmx to potential new users, I mean this in a tasteful way of course as spamming places will only get a bad name and give the impression we are begging for users and we are definitely no where near that stage yet   

This is a subject that would benefit from discussion and I mean the advertising of winmx in general as opposed to the selfish activities we have seen recently being used to gather revenue from users.

This site is a loss making site and proud of it, the day its all done for cash we will close down.

little point in any form of advertising,as winmx is well known for its very high % of fake files.....substantially more then any other p2p network......and we all know who is to blame for that problem........
so in order to make / help winmx grow and to attract both new and old users back, the fake file issue has to be addressed.......
since this is clearly beyond pie to fix or even suggest a remedy.....as usuall we are going to have to clean up the mess created by the pie maggots as nothing of any intelligence will ever come from there........
the winmxworld blocklist is a great start but unfortunately isnt in universal operation by all users of winmx as is the dll fix, both methods address the fake file issue and flooders directly....pity the pie maggots neither had the forsight or intellectual capacity to address this at the start, then like now they sit on there asses pretending it all doesnt really exist, and continue to make a limp lame pathetic attempt to sometimes advise users that blocking riaa maybe of some value.......
we at winmxworld and all those that use either the dll or the blocklist are the ones doing something positive for winmx and the community in general and in turn this is the best form of advertising in the short tem,
going forward im sure certain people are hard at work finding a long term solution for all the community, but in the short term we just have to keep keeping on as they say......while reducing the amount of pie maggots on the network

Its a shame really that folks who signed up to help mx have aided it into becoming a damaged network due to the ignorance of a few.
The time for the folks you mention to take action has passed though, they put themselves before the users and will have to live with their actions.

As I stated before we need to move forward in a positive manner, let the children play on their site, folks know where to come for solid technical winmx advice.

If you want to be of further help to all users just travel the net and make sure folks using winmx are kept informed and  happy, thats been my policy and I have not forgotten what this site was set up for, help and support of this great network.

On that note I feel its about time some of you folks who claim to have more time than they can handle write up some useful info for their fellow users, we have a lot of in depth material but sometimes a simple graph or list can help other users faster, lets hear from you on what you want and how you think it should be done, any material will be credited to its writer, this is your site too folks, lets keep it the best for all users.

Why can't we send E-Mails to our friends and tell them that Winmx is back. I don't mean spamming. Just a normal email. We can ask them to forward it to their friends or relatives who might be interested. Since some of us also have friends or relatives abroad, we can send it to them and then we can ask them to forward it to their friends .......etc.

We can post here a layout of the email, that is, where to download it, its advantages and strength, how to install it and common problems and how to solve them. We can also send them links via the email about sites where they can go for help in case they need it.

That way, we can get new members as well as get back old ones. The reason behind this is that Email is cost free, fast and has its reaches throughout the world. Some of the emails I receive have come to me after passing through the inboxes of more than 500 people. Then people after reading it aren't just going to put it in the trash can. They'll talk about it to their friends , colleagues and relatives. Most of us forward good emails and we also receive forwarded emails. That's the strength I'm saying we can exploit.

One more thing. In this site's spell check, the word 'Winmx' doesn't exist It gets alternatives like winks, wonks, wanks, wong's ..... what not.
You might want to add that to the spelling database

Everyone on this site knows that I use the PIE patch to connect to WinMX. Some of you know that while in the winmxworld chatroom one day I tried every way possible to use the dll patch and see how it worked. Personally I thought it much faster than the PIE patch. Unfortunately I use IE7 and my WinMX kept erroring out on me. As long as I didn't acknowledge the error I could still use MX I just had to move the error sign out of the way. What I am tired of is being generalised by certain dumbass negative minded POS's that want nothing more than to keep shit stirred up and seem to have nothing better to do than insult people who honestly do want to help in EVERY way they can. Before I go further just let me say that I have started repairing computers for my friends again and the last 3 computers I fixed had WinMX on them but not operational. I personally fixed ALL THREE machines and their WinMX programs using the dll patch. Now I like IE7 so therefor I have NO intention of uninstalling it at all. But F**K ME RUNNIN BACKWARDS ON ONE F**KIN LEG if I will sit aside and be called a f**kin maggot again by anyone and NOT speak my mind. I do my part bughunter. I am no maggot so start doing yours by first SHUTTING YOUR C**KHOLSTER, and second by getting your ass in gear in a responcible fashion and helping people. I personally am sick of your bullshit.

Actually I did want an answer. And to be honest I don't flame. But do believe that if I am pushed I do push back. You already know this yourself I think. While I hold you and others in this site in a lot of respect and I do know that you do not like users to use the PIE patch and I do understand why that is also. I also do not find myself under insult from you and others on this site because of my choices. Now I'm sure my lasp post did not win me any votes I also do not care that they did or didn't. Nooky you may have noticed that Bughunter posted those comments 2 months ago, he would have posted them on other forums and perhaps had answers or discussions over his annoyances but as you are more than aware the other forum decided to censor it users in a massive way and ban a whole raft of people with technical knowledge from their site, the community has suffered because of this policy.

I must wonder about the timing of your reply and the fact that you where not mentioned in his post directly, also I am aware you have had bad words with him in the winmxworld chat room, so perhaps its best to forget the matter and work for harmonising things to the point where no one is forced to feel alienated because of their choice of patch.

First I will say that I do apologise for all that but yes we have had words in the room and yes I did take it personally because of the room but the fact is it is something that is happening repeatedly. The fact of which patch I use is actually beside the point. Even if I could and did use the dll patch it pisses me to no end that someone can stand and preach about how someone is so wrong and yet they do nothing but preach and gripe instead of helping when the fact is they'd probably do a very good job of helping. That is all.
