My setup (W2K + V3.53) works fine so the best course of action would be not to change anything!  But I see all those patches 1.9, 2.0, 2.2 and wondering should I install the "latest".  My setup works fine with the modified host files! Should installed a patch?

No reason to change patches, providing you are connecting and using PG2 or similar to block the flooders.

Do what nobby says. Why fix something that isnt broken.

You must use PG2 to block the flooders.
