installing winmx

hi rush here,
                can anyone tell me the correct way to install 3.54 beta 4 ,i can install that but cannot understand where to install the pie patches ,the reason for this is when im running 3.53 the damm thing keeps refreshing the network and i can not browse,search ,upload,download,in fact nothing i cant even forward my ports cos i dont know how,been on portforward.com and they havnt got my model router (zonet zsr0104f),i have sent them a screen shot of my router but nothing as yet

Hi Rush,

If you already have the pie patch installed then you dont need to worry about how to do that part.

Download the WinMx v3.54 beta 4 from here if you dont have it already:
httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/WinMX/Beta/3.54%20betas/winmx354beta4.zip

Unzip the Winmx.exe file inside to your
Program Files\WinMx folder.  If it asks you if you would like to over write the file say Yes.
Do this with WinMx Off of course.

Now restart WinMx.

Now you have your same ole pie patch installed already, previously and you have upgraded your WinMx to v. 3.54 beta 4.

Now I assume your now running as a secondary since you have not configured your router, i have located your user manual and will see about making a guide for this model as soon as I can.  Once thats complete and we have your ports forwarded to allow you to make a primary connection you will need to also run PeerGuardian since your using a pie patch to help protect you and the network from the RIAA and flooding of fakes.. but I will fill you in better on that later.

hi, sorry havnt been in touch for a while ,just thought i,d let you known that i resolved the issue by buying anew d-link router,set it up no probs,have forwarded ports and can now use both primary and secondary plus my other 2 pcs are ok on the net thanks for all the help
