Help needed Please..thank you so much

I've been having problems downloading winmx version 3.53.

This is what happens:

Winmx was unable to make an outgoing TCP connection to it's test servers. This could be because this computer isn't currently directly connected to the internet, you are on a Local Area Network (LAN) and need to use SOCS proxy server to make outgoing TCP connections, or there is a temporary network problm.

Please choose an option:
                    Retry the connection Test
                    I need to use SOCKS proxy server to make outgoing connections

Hi Rockst2r,

When you encounter this error I want you to stop the test and choose the 'Configure Manually' option.

Then on the next screen leave it set as is and cllick next 'Dont Use a Proxy Server'

On the Next Page Tick the' Unable to Listen' option..then Click ok..

On the Next Page Tick the same 'Unable to Send and Receive' option.

When you have everything done it will start as a secondary connection.

The reason its doing this may be a firewall or router or even DSL modem blocking your ports, you may want to try to work around this in the future but until then you should be able to get a secondary connection working fine as stated above.
