Cant Connect To primary Only Seconary

Hi all, i'm having problems with winmx  what the problem is i'm running version 3.54 beta 4 with the latest  patch installed i'm running windows 2000 pro with a dsl connection & zonealarm  firewall , i'm not able to connect to a primary connection only a seconary connection (what i mean by that is) i can connect to a primary connection but i cant get any searches or any of the chat room's up, plus nobody can download anything from me, if i change the connection to a seconary connection it works grand , it even does it if i turn off the firewall. so it cant be the ports what are blocking mx from working. I've even tried it with just the speedtouch modem & the netgear router i've got (all port's opened) and it still does it.  I've got over 1000 share's in mx and everybody has told me they cant download any of them because it keep's comming up with timed out, what do i need to do to be able to get a primary connection working proper instead of having to use a seconary connection.  i leave the pc on 24/7 and when i've come back every upload has timed out besides it

Got it sorted , just read a post on ere and it said something about flushing the dns so that's wht i did , i went into start , run , typed in cmd and then ipconfig /flushdns & now i can get a primary connection working no problem , Hope that helps somebody who's having the same problems as i was having

I am having this exact problem, "ipconfig /flushdns" did not help. Any other solutions?

Normally what we look at are routers, dsl modems, firewalls and sometimes antivirus.

What is your set up so we can help ya better here..
