about installation, my winmx could not receive an incoming connection??

i downloaded the winmx that including patch,
how come it still could not work properly?

by the way i am using a router modem, does that seems to be a problem??

a NAT router will typically need configuring for inbound connections

if you go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and select your router make/model then it will give you a guide for setting up your router manually

there is also a beta version of the patch that might be able to forward the ports in your router automatically for you https://forum.winmxworld.com/index.php?topic=2932.0.html although it's not guaranteed that it will work for every router

if you have the XP firewall enabled then it can also block inbound connections unless you have SP2 installed (the SP2 one typically allows winmx full access if allowed in it, rather than partial)
