But then.. you can't even write a hosts file right, how many attempts before the current one?  Which STIL points to dead addresses..

Being that they can't handle simple truth over there.. as you'll also see.. I'm now banned, for posting in the allegedly unmoderated space...

I see you have had a taste of the post tampering I told folks about, what i did to counter it was to remove 100,s of my posts so that vladd would not make money out of my efforts while acting in this abusive manner.

I think no more need be said , this is the lowest a forum has to sink, do people wonder why we have no trust in them.

I think most will agree that up until 9,10 months ago vladd44 was regarded by many as a good helpsite for winmx users both old and new.
However thier latest actions of censorship,abuse of ppl whom disagree with thier hostfile fix,and deleting of posts that provide a link to a REAL solution to the biggest problem that winmx currently faces is what has turned a once credible and respected helpsite into a laughing stock.
Perhaps if they spent half as much time working on a viable solution themselves to the fake file issue as they do deleting/censoring posts they would regain some of the credibility they once had, however it seems to me that it is easier to  for them to belittle the work of KM/winmxworld than actually do anything positive for the network.
The one's who truely lose here are the winmx users who know of no other helpsite and are denied an easily alternative solution.
If their connection fix was as good as they proclaim they would have no issues with leaving a winmxworld/group link in a prominent location on their site and offer their users a CHOICE.
Anyway enuff of a rant from me keep up the good work here and happy winmxing

First of all I would like to take this opportunity to say a few things to Bearded Blunder.  I haven't known you as long as some folks on MX, hell I've known Vladd longer then you but.. you have taken same abuse over there lately as have lots of good folks. 

I watched you make an appearance onto the posting scene and not just on this site.  You have offered untold amount of sound good advice that any webmaster or site admin should be damn glad to have if they have any wits about them.. this site was lucky enough for you to accept an offer of Moderator and you still continued your services to them to help get folks working properly.  Its appalling to me to see them repay you for your hours of help you put in there like this.. its a disgrace Again[/i] to the WinMX Help community.

From the folks you have helped here and there, from us here on site, and from the users THANK YOU Bearded, your a champ for putting up with it all so long.

I was a member on Vladd's site and even after starting this one tried to continue to help folks but by Oct. of last year the site had changed.  Its a shame to see it like this and I myself feel its basically been abandoned.  Not offering a choice is one thing but anyone with any intelligence can see that of late there has been no spamming, the posts have been on topic and help related and still these folks are having posts raped and abused then being banned.  Now this Plym shows up to continue the abuse in 'True backwoods form' .. wow.. well as i said the intelligence over there is gone.  Even Jim has taken a leave of his senses.  I believe it would be in the best interest of Pie Patch users and of the WinMX community for Vladd to finish his bow out of the help profession by withdrawing anything that has to do with WinMX or Patch related help.  Either stick to Cesspool gay bashing or just close down completely, in the name of the users and to show hes got some self respect left for his name that once signified many things not seen this last year.

I don't have a vote but i do call for his resignation from WinMX Help.

should we really be surprised as to what is going on over at the pie teams forum..............
after all it was only last oct nov and dec that quicks me_here km and myself had posts edited removed etc .........all because pie didnt want users to know the truth..........
now bearded blunder  aka merlin , nooky crook robinhood  have run foul of the admins @ vladds forum..........not for causing trouble but for speaking the truth................users should be asking what is it that pie dont want people to know.............
if they had any confidence in there patch they wouldnt be behaving as they are.............
 i find it funny that not so long ago both nooky and merlin had shall we say leant towards pie, but had the courage to give the dll a fair aprasel..........and wat do ya know they found it wasnt this horrible crashing software with trojans and backdoors, it actually did what was claimed about it..........but pie want no one to know that there is a fix .........its just not pies..............
i for one am very glad that pie has driven both merlin and nooky to winmxworld as there contribution over the last week with helping abadoned pie users has been invlauable..............
so thanks pie, you keep doing what your doing.........and users will keep leaving you in droves as they have been.............

Thankyou Me Here & Bug, for your kind words, I do my best such as it is, I appeared first mainly to try to be completely current, in order to help regs in my chatroom, & couldn't resist helping posters both here & there too, I simply don't like seeing people with problems left unresolved if I can help it, but helping over there has become increasingly difficult.. when suggesting to someone who's PC won't read a hosts file (but works otherwise) use a patch that doesn't reference it turns into a long bitchfight with site admins who could offer no alternative themselves, something is seriously wrong with a help site...

If faced here with someone who's PC was as stubborn about loading a dll for winmx as mine is about loading ws2_32.dll I'd make them up a hosts file that addressed all caches I was aware of & attach it for them to download, I'm also CERTAIN both the posting AND the attatchment would stay there in case anyone with the same problem searched the forum to resolve the same issue, the purpose of a help forum is to offer the best help one can, not to play politics.

Before 3.0 was released I've suggested to users HERE that they use Pie when they wished to use both 3.54beta & IE 7 together, those posts are still there & no issue was made, because at the time, for that user, it was an appropriate answer.......

It's no longer possible to give rational & considered help there though, even if I wasn't now banned.

I have suggested the pie patch for someone who just couldn't get the dll working, no matter what we tried.

users should be asking what is it that pie dont want people to know.............

I've asked myself the same question many times. There is no answer to it...

at one point we did in fact have a hosts file along side the patch everywhere, for example the first version didn't work for windows 9x so a hosts file was listed next to it, then when that issue was resolved a hosts file was still listed for those who had either IE7 or 9x but wanted 3.53 as the 3.54 patch wouldn't work, it's only since 3.0 addressed those issues that the need for hosts files has been eliminated, yet even so a couple of people have been pointed towards trying a hosts file when they have had problems with 3.0 - although as far as i know every one of them has then found their issue to be unrelated as they've had the same problems when using hosts files... but the point is we have tried to get it working

to be perfectly honest out of all of the threads on there where they make up ridiculous lies purely to trash me personally, i still think the worst thread was the one where a user asked for help, got told about the winmxgroup patch, replied saying thanks it worked great... then Love deleted that users post saying the issue was fixed and replaced it with "this is how you fix it"... it was already fucking fixed, and that wasn't how it was done! things like that not only make them look bad (as well as fucking stupid) but unfortunately they are getting so many users to think they represent winmx that it makes everyone on winmx look bad - it is a fucking disgrace and i wish i hadn't signed various contacts preventing me from taking down vladds website using force, otherwise i would have done so long ago

btw, the reason they refuse to allow anyone knowledge that the patch exists is simple - they like to think of themselves as the big group running winmx and have everyone follow them and do as they say, meaning they want everyone using their hosts file at any cost - and given a choice no user in their right mind would use a hosts file

I am glad that they refused to work with me at the start when i went to help the people who later formed that "pie" clan, however i do regret having given ranma advice on his cache software during the first few weeks, if i hadn't done that perhaps those running his software wouldn't be there, and it would be only my caches, if that was the case then winmx would now be fake free and fast connecting

Bearded, you are not alone, and you are still in great company here
We appreciate your insight and knowledge, as it adds to the rest of us here. It is a welcome help and if they have pie shoved so far up their ass that they can't see it, then too bad for them. Many users have left them either from the failure of their patch or from the quickly spreading knowledge that they are making a mockery of a real help site. So it is only a matter of time before the rest of the users come here to get help, and you will be doing good for them too.

None of us can instantly put the knowledge of their lies and deceit into the heads of the people who are duped by them, but nothing lasts forever, and you can only hide truth for so long. It is sad to see so many lied to and so many still falling for the pie lie, but at least you did what was best: YOU EXPOSED IT HERE. This forum will not be altered and we will take comfort in the fact that those who come here will be given the truth to see. Thank you again, because this thread is also a contribution of your help.
