are you using the latest winmxgroup patch? as it sounds like an issue with fake files, https://www.winmxgroup.com/ (close winmx before installing) that will make sure you have the latest one, that should remove fakes from your search results, as it sounds like an issue with fake files

You may have a problem with ports as well. Do you get search results or any uploads?

I have installed the new patch and I get plenty of search results. But when people try to upload from me the connection times out and when I try to download something from other people the connection times out. I have gone into the router settings and opened the ports and I have tried changing the ports in the WinMx settings but that has not helped either.

Try out one thing, in the library window, remove all the folders that you have and share them all over again, can be a pain, but may be a solution to your problem. The thing is, winmx may have not noticed that certain files have changed names or have been moved. Happened with me quite a couple of times......... If you feel that is too much of a hassle, right click on the folders and click the 'rebuild' option.

Cheers

that sounds like a firewall/router issue, probably is best to go to the room... when you copy/pasted it were there any spaces etc on the end? try again and make sure there aren't as that would break it :-)
