Reset by PEER

Who is the PEER that keeps resetting me ?  I see people here who have been on line for days and days and they continuously have a hundred people in the queue; but me no, I keep getting reset; and odly enough, it seems to happen overnight when I can't babysit the machine.

Also, what do some users do to be able to requeue on me so quickly; seems like I disconnect them, and it takes no more than a few seconds and there they are, with everything they're trying to get from me without sharing anything.

"Reset by peer" is when the user you want the file from has lost their connection to the network somehow or not replied in time to a "are you still there" type message, thus disconnecting you from them.

Its very common in p2p systems for this to occur but its been seen a lot more recently in cases of fake results flooding, secondary users are knocked off the network by the mass of results returned for his search causing a disconnection (typically 10 - 15,000 results if they searches a flooded keyword).

There are other reasons but this is the most likely reason for a connection reset at the present time.

If you want to stop leechers to stop connecting to you, then you can use mx moniter or leech hammer so that you can permenantly stop them from connecting to you. You can download them and learn how to configure them from the same place
