Disconnecting files

I have several people I try to share with whose requested uploads will connect, show 8 bits ULed and then immediately disconnect. Now matter what we have tried (refreshing files, changing names, etc.) the inability to keep connected remains. Conversely I have no problems staying connected to them when I try to DL. It's very frustrating. Can you explain why this is happening and offer a solution?

I run WIndows XP, no routers or firewalls and am using the most recent version of WinMX 3.0 3.54

I would suggest to you to come by our Help room on WinMX and let us test this for you, that said Adelphia has been known to use port shaping as we call it to limit your speeds.  Its often for uploads only and its also often common place to lie the first few times you call.. I cant say 100% this is the problem for you however.

Copy and paste this into your Filter bar and click Join.. tell them Me Here sent cha.. they should treat ya good.. and see if they can test your uploads for you.

Hit the Chat button (Purple circle) then dismiss the warrning
enter WinMxWorld.com Help_3575D2CFFFFF in the filter bar (red circle)
then hit the join button (blue circle)
