This is not good news for many families
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/08/03/D8J92Q880.htmlAOL said Thursday it would drop as many as 5,000 employees, or a quarter of its global workforce, within six months as the company restructures its business to draw more online advertising dollars.
The announcement came a day after the Time Warner Inc. unit said it would no longer charge high-speed Internet customers for e-mail and other services.
These big lay-offs are bad news for customers in the long run, but no compnay can afford to run at a loss, why do they wait till matters are so drastic ?
The up side is of course the removal of charges on previously paid for services, is it too little, too late ?
