Connecting/Searching

Anybody having probs connecting or searching?
It's taken me an hour to get connected and now I can't find a reallypopular song, or anything else for that matter!!

there should be no problems with connecting as long as your winmx is properly patched (www.winmxgroup.com for the latest patch, if in doubt reinstall)

as for search results, is your winmx set to primary or secondary (networks page in winmx)?

put simply, this happens when port testing fails, the best way around it is to visit www.portforward.com with the make & model of your modem/router & configure forwarding of TCP port 6699 & UDP 6257 in advance of installing winmx, if you also open these ports in your firewall (see the tutorials section) then the testing & install should run without a hitch.
