winmx not searching under primary connection

umm ya, the past few days i have been having trouble searching for files under a primary connection. it works fine under a secondary connection but i have dsl so it is way slow. any help is greatly appreciated

Most DSL modems require you to set ports up in the modem to allow WinMX as primary connection.  If this is a new problem after changes made then sometimes remaking your firewall rules (remove WinMX and reallow it) works also.

If this is not a new problem be sure the first thing is your using the new patch from here:

https://www.winmxgroup.com/

This will among other things, filter all those fake files from your searches helping to clear the bogus results for you.

Once this is done have a look here for the name and model number of your modem:

http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm  - Go down the list, find your Brand and Model of modem, click that then find the WinMX application on the list, click that and follow the directions.

These things 'should' get you fixed up if you do still have problems or cant find your model then please feel free to post back here.

I think my ISP is blocking WinMX, the wen able to get a dld, the speed becomes a trickle and then time out, most times connections is refused and those who pas are marked as Busy, even if only one in que, that never happened.  My ISP (Atlntic Broadband) provider 9s Echolabs.net

I disconnected the IPS firewall as now it blocks p2p ports

I use COVAD at night in the place I work and WinMX works flawlessly, with up link of 180 KB and dld of 1.25. I plan to switch to their offering og 6 Kbps d and 764 up althou is priocier that cable seems better, for now...

Good luck with a new ISP and do be sure to tell us how that goes, I cant tell you how badly this pisses us off here to see folks suffer with ISPs doing this to thier users.. especially those that lie to them as well..
