it certainly is, and even if it wasn't - what it claims as improvements is basically an attack against the network - even if you did get such a program that was not spyware then using it would be very bad...

What it does is that it sends out so many search requests that it actually may crash the primary you are connected to. You basically keep giving out requests for searches when that many users are not there at all. So:
You end up with just the same number of sources
You hurt the network
You hurt your own computer because of the inevitable adware or spyware that almost always comes bundled with such programs.
