Searching problem

most searches i search never find any results. very few ppl share files lately. since the whole thing went down only a selected number
of artists can be searched? alot of the bands i like which ARE active and liked by supposedly lots of ppl never get any results. it makes
no sense. and i wish it wasn't true. so can i just ask anyone that doesn't share files to please share them? and let ppl download them 
it would be much appreciated and wouldn't be that much of a bother..?

Does anyone else experience this with their searches on WinMX?

I do find results for popular bands or artists. Try these tips:

Search with lesser keywords for songs. If this does not work then type only the artist name and find your song from that list.

Never use symbols in searches. For albums, don't use things like albw or something. personally, I use Artist name and then the word 'album'. I get a list of the artist's albums avaiable. Then I download the one I want
eg: Westlife - Album (Not the name of the album)

Try to remove the restrictions like bitrate or connection that you may have. like 'dsl or higher' type.

By the way, are your ports forwarded properly? That could be a factor too.

finding nothing? try searching for elvis - you should get results with that... if not then try loading the chat room list, not getting any results could indicate a configuration error and those 2 will test if that is the case
