Prosecutors in Germany have seized 10 servers which hosted the anonymising service TOR.

The action has raised fears of a wider clampdown against the service, which provides a way for people to browse the internet anonymously. The seized machines are assumed to be TOR exit nodes.

What next? demanding that everyone start sending in a daily summary indicating every single thing they did online that day?

It would appear that german authorities are trying to prevent anyone there having any form of privacy, although they will no doubt claim that nobody has any right to privacy under the "we have guns you don't so shut the hell up" act.

What is worse is how poorly this action seems to have been reported in the media, there are hardly any news websites that are even mentioning such a major event - it would seem that they think Madonna doing a concert in Russia is much more important news than peoples right to privacy being removed like that!

Sad trend. Worldwide they are slowly taking away citizens rights, and creating a world that has a very dark future. Media won't report it because most of the major media corporations are controlled by the same big media companies who are deperate to get all of your income. So this just paves the way for them to identify everyone, so that everyone can be numbered and everything you do can be licensed for more profit.

Thanx for giving this more publicity KM :)

Be Good and Best Regards,
