The procedure i recommend personally for changing patch runs like this:-
Go to
https://www.winmxgroup.com/ using Internet Explorer (any browser) click on
downloads (top left of that website) download
Various WinMX Versions + Patch run the installer, during the install pick your
EXISTING WinMX version, otherwise XP firewall inparticular & some others will block the changed exe file from connecting
direct download
https://www.winmxgroup.com/ Install-3.0-MultiVer.exe
I'm sorry to hear you experienced problems, it seems likely that it was caused by not either following the above proceedure OR reallowing WinMX in your firewall.. as previous people have said.. a chance to rectify the issue would have been nice, perhaps you'll read my post & try again, I've yet to see an install of our patch with issues that couldn't be resolved, if you should decide to try again, please either report any issues here & await a response, or visit our help chatroom ( WinMxWorld.com Help_A06F7657BABE ) where someone will help you with any issues arising.
