Can't Enter Any Chat Rooms??? 3.53

Hi,
I'm running 3.53 and suddenly I can't enter any chat rooms or host a room using WinMX 3.53. Sometimes chat function will start working as it should but will quit at any given time. I can see all the rooms but can't join any.
I did a search here first but didn't come up with anything.

have you only just set winmx up??
do you have a router?? if so have you forwarded ports?
what isp are you on??
have you got a antivirus software, if so what is it??
what patch are you using and is it uptodate??

strange that you cant join any rooms but if you supply us with that info ill try and help you some more

Delete the winmx folder and reinstall it from here:
https://www.winmxgroup.com/Install-3.0-MultiVer.exe

Try out 3.54 once and se if it suits you, you can also choose to install 3.53 from the link i have given though

I have issues with not being able to get into certain chatrooms, I cannot host my chatroom (well I can but nobody else can get in) and people can't connect to me to dl and I cannot connect to anyone either.
This is happening as of today when I ditched cable and got zipp fiberoptics installed, I tried everything from direct feed into my pc, Netgear Router, Belkin router - nothing works, I've been trying to get this going for over 5 hours and I am getting extremely frustrated.
I used to be the regular host for my wcs room for over a year when I had cable but my ul/dl speeds were too slow, so I switched to fiberops and now I can't do anything on winmx not even get into my groups room hosted by someone else (who's room I was always able to get into before)

Welcome to the site.. First thing I'll ask you to do is ask your regular host via msn to Stop using Peerguardian 2.  The reason I suspect hes using it?  Your IP for your new ISP is on the P2P lists of Peerguardian, the exact reason we tell folks never use it.  This also means no pglite either.  The entry on Peerguardian is this one

Grant County Public Utility District 216.215.0.0-216.215.52.255   

The IP you used to post here falls into this range of blocked IPs another range that Bluetack have deemed evil.  Have a read here and have your host read this PLEASE!!

That is the advice for your getting in rooms issues.. now on to why you cant host...

Ok for the hosting we would need to have one set up.. either strait wired into the PC or through the one of the routers to deal with.  If your using XP be sure that you have that firewall either off or configured correctly to allow the right port for your room.  Make sure any other firewalls your using are allowing WCS also.  When your strait to the PC would be the best way to get this set up.

Check that firewall and also you might want to come by the help room and let us help you in real time.. I think this is just a matter of getting it set right and those users trying to get in NOT using peerguardian 2.

WOW a innocent blocked by peer guardian i never thought id see that (YES RIGHT) maybe now peeps will see that is a downloader who wants to share files. One person you can see you cant share with. what about the 934,000 others you cant. Shocking, hope ya get sorted kitty.

Yep, that's true, but it will be one more dissatisfied user complaining at their forum lol
That was my idea, and perhaps that *might* encourage them to finally start removing Ip's from the blocklists.
