Download Issues

When I try to download a song, the transfer starts for a second and then disconnects. Users are having no problems uploading from me. I recently moved and had to switch from DSL to Cable, but have used WinMX since the move, in fact only a few days ago. At that time I was able to download the songs I wanted with only a few disconnects. Today I tried 15 or so times and none worked. I'm using the latest version of WinMX, can anyone help?

That would sound like interference from the ISP, but there is a simple way to check

Pop in to the winmxworld help room and do a few test downloads with someone in the room, that will confirm if there is an ISP issue or not, or of course if there is some other problem may indicate that (but disconnects like that are normally either fakes, or ISP related)

Open your chat window in winmx, next to the search button and put this in the filterbar:

WinMxWorld.com Help_3F1FAF500666
OR
WinMxWorld.com HideOut_3F1FAF500D3D

Then click join and there you are . If the room does not appear, then check the name that you have typed in the filter bar and see if there are any spaces in  the end which there shouldn't be.
Although, most of the time, people tend to be more in the winmxworld room than the hideout. Give both a try. If no one answers, then wait for some time, someone will surely come by and help you.
