hi all -
when i load win mx i get a message that win mx has encountered a problem and needs to close - if i move the message off to the side i can use the program - why am i getting this message and how do i prevent it in the future?  HELP

Hi bon can we get some info off you please,
What version of Winmx do you use
What PAtch do you use and which version.
I take from the warnings you have XP but what service pack and is it up to date
If you aint sure I recommend downloading winmx beta 4 with a patch integrated so you dont have to do much but reinstall Winmx
Here is a link to download the latest Winmx and patch

If after installing this package you still get the error we can help a little more ;-)

That was a problem in the 2.x series. Winmx + IE 7. But it was fixed 3.0 onwards.

Sometimes this happens after a system crash, winmx dat files can be corrupted by such an event, usually it results in setup running again, but occasionally other problems occur.. try deleting the current winmx program folder & reinstalling from scratch

thanks for your replies - i uninstalled win mx and downloaded win mx 3.54b4 and installed it - my problem appears to have been solved!  thanks again!
