Sudden problems - everything was OK yesterday!

WinMx was running perfectly yesterday.  No settings at all on anything have been changed.  Email and browsing work as usual. Today, I find that when browsing someone I get a nil result and have to refresh once or twice before I get anything.

My downloads are queuing but many more are timing out than usual.

I've tried "repairing" my connection but it makes no difference.

Any idea what this could be???

Hi Lovepeavceguru,

This sounds like the type of problem folks have when a router/modem decides to assign a new internal IP to your Computer, making your rules previously set Null.

If you have a router then get your current IP address from
Start > Run  type        cmd
Then OK
Then type       ipconfig
Then hit enter

Go to the router or modem config pages and remake the IP correctly.

If this doesnt help often making a complete port change does so means New rules for new IP and Ports..
