Hi everyone, i m a newbie of winmx.
I use winmx because so many around the world are prasing Winmx.
but what i found is just terrible download and upload speed.
until now my highest download speed is 1.2kbps and highest upload speed with 0.78kbps.
what's wrong with my winmx??

Did you forward ports in winmx properly?
Also did you allow winmx in any forewalls that you might have?
Uninstall winmx and reinstall it from here:

Can you guide me through that?
I am using a build in Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC and using Riger Corporation ADSL Modem 2/2+ DB102.
I used to look on portforward.com but some step are definitely not same with them so i can't follow what they do.

TooFat if you can tell me how far did you get following the instructions on the Portforward site.

Like, where you able to access the modem with the 192.168.1.1 number, did you get a login screen. Where you able to get past that login screen using the defaults given by the site?

ok, thanks.
i lost the step when setting up the static ip.

at the step 3,after i run the ipconfig /all command,the screen showed up not just one

Below you are going to see your same picture. I have highlighted the information for you to use making a static IP.

Your Gateway 192.168.1.1
SubnetMask 255.255.255.0
Your IP Address 192.168.1.3

Preferred DNS servers:
202.188.0.133
202.188.1.5

I have use the information u pointed to set a static IP.
But when I want to connect, it showed Tcp/Ip error 735.Why?

picture below is my internet connection tcp/ip properties,its different with others.
Its only have IP address field and do not have the field for Gateway and subnet mask.

That's because you still have the option "obtain an IP Adresss automatically" ticked.

Tick the Option "use the following IP Address" instead and you will be able to put in the IP Address, the netmask and the gateway address.

PS: I'm not sure but you may have to go to the "advanced" options through the button below the DNS settings to set up the gateway...

just put the details in as found from the ipconfig /all then reboot your machine. this then has it all set properly, you can also just set the dns servers to your router addy 192.168.1.1 saves any messing incase your dns server is unavailable or whatever.

the above assumes it'll support being a dns proxy.. whilst nearly all do.. i'd recommend putting the actual dns server ips in.. for the odd few that don't.. i'd rather someone copied those than suddenly couldn't post back because the site wouldn't resolve....
