I am so mad at this stuff...i paid $60dollars to get winmx and i cant get it to even connect for the first time....i have windows xp i think...and i have cable internet....i have winmx 3.35 .... my router says arris on it but that really all i know...the only add ons i have are the ones that came with the service...like the virus protection but that just made my computer messed up....i got that now there is somthing that says my computer is infected with spyware but its not doing anything there is just a warning...anyway i have tryed to contact tecnical support but they are no fucking help....my probelm is that i payed for and downloaded winmx and 360share....360 share wont open at all...i click and click anf nothing happens....well winmx comes up but the little light that blinks wont go green just yellow...it says connecting but after its sayed thatfor 2 weeks now and i have tryed everything i can think of...HELP ME>...i paid 60 $ on this and im really mad about it....thank you...sarah

you have been scammed - winmx is free, it costs nothing, so contact your credit card company and get your money back from the scam artists

but anyway, go to www.winmxgroup.com to download winmx, as i said it is a completely free program and don't pay for it... however you should probably get the rest of your computer sorted out first (and stop clicking on the sorts of things you keep clicking on that have installed loads of spyware on your system, and charged you for free programs etc)

Cannot run any of your patches without hanging. Is my OS supported?
Any dll patches for my os?

Operating system Windows 98SE
- Internet connection type cable
- WinMX Version 3.31
- Secondary or primary user secodary
- What make of firewall you have zonealarm
- Router brand and model linksys
- Any WinMX add-ons installed None

I believe that it will and does run in windows 98.

The latest Patches from www.winmxgroup.com will run with win98 no problem.

The only thing I see that might cause some troubles in your setup is ZoneAlarm, especially if you've chosen to upgrade your winmx at the same time.
It's well known for running fine for ages and suddenly starting to mess up things, and a new installation such as the patch might very well cause your troubles.
The stupid thing about it is, that even when disabled it still acts weird sometimes which can only be fixed by deinstalling/reinstalling ZoneAlarm.

You could try to removing winmx from all your rules in ZoneAlarm, disabling that and trying the installation then.

Otherwise you might consider removing ZoneAlarm completely and installing an alternative like Sygate Personal etc.
