How to get words back on Karaoke Mp3 files
« on: February 25, 2007, 12:31:53 am »
I´ve downloaded a load of karaoke mp3 files thinking that when I burned them to disk they´d play in my dvd player that´s cg+g compatable. If people convert them to mp3´s what´s the point if you just have a  backing track? Is there anyway I can restore them to what they were with words on the screen? I got some real gems I´d really like to sing at my local karaoke haunt.

According to this page, no.

http://www.dbkaraoke.com/help/formats.php

It seems once the track is converted to mp3 any other information is permanently lost :(

Thanks for the link, that´s a real bummer. Then those aren´t  ´karaoke´files anymore, they´re backing tracks, aren´t they?

Perhaps if I try downloading a karaoke track in a different format , such as MPG, that would work. I was all excited to them out this weekend, too!
