FXS wont stop kicking me from rooms.. even my own room.. it comes up with some kind of error everytime i enter and try to type.. even tryed changing my name.. never when entering FXS rooms or hosting on fxs have i ever had this error.. wats wrong?

Ok.. thankyou

It seems to be ok now and hasnt kicked me (sinse i restarted winmx) but it went like this and kicked my from my room erlia.. i thought it was because i was using loopback, so i reted normal roomname and it didnt kick me.. about 2 hours later, it started doing it in every room hosted by FXS..

looks like a fxserver bug, of course without knowing what the errors are for the disconnects you can't know for sure, but error 10035 is a specific winsock error that is very common... and it basically means no real error occurred and the program should try again later, so if it's disconnecting for that then there's something wrong...

i agree with you completly.. but nothing has EVEr happened to me like this untill today.. its quite frightening.. imagine running a room when it gets to its peak.. u cant eneter it using winmx.. lol

Well i know that FX serve has this issue big time, i now that being on aol somtimes i get nights where it is a nightmare to get into fxserve rooms and some of them i cant get into at all,
Although it has no refrence to KM in that programme it is built on the old server that KM made that is a good server but has alot of flaw's. I personnaly think that FX serve is just built on this instead of actually looking at how it all works and re-writing it as W.C.S has. Thats the reason i think that thier is so many issues with FXserve.

Now as i mentioned in the room. it might be worth doing a few things.

1. re-download the server close the room completly and reboot the machine. Then unzip the new server and run.

2. Run sfc /scannow in the run box if you have XP/2000. I know this sounds daft but i had a problem with notepad where in the .txt files it was jumbling al the letters up, was really frustrating and meant i had to redo all me config files WCS/METIS all i did was copy and pasted into fresh txt docs.
It was also causing me major problems with stuff long before it started jumbling letters up. Words missing showing in the room and in the bot messages and thebot not reloading and stuff.

3. If you have XP have any new updates been installed, i know mine is going abit daft at the mo updating loads and usually its a load of billy shit.

4. have you got a fiewall on any of the PC's. i know you havea server now so is the room on one PC and you on another, maybe the firewalls are blocking network traffic, Not uncommon if they havent been configured corretly fora network and if your still using black-ice like back in the day then you havea load of fun ahead.

Let me know if any of that changes if not ill look into what the error codes are, but wid the site being down it may be hard to get a hold of someone.

up untill last week i was using fxs 1.3.10 beta, but when an update happened with windows and my firewall, now i cant run fxs 1.3.10 beta as my firewall will not let it, but fxs 1.3.9 runs perfectly, it does still have connection errors from people that cant get in, its the same people each time on routers or dial-up.
try swapping back to the older one if you are using the beta version.
