Ok, I just recently got Winmx back from you wonderful people this week, after being scammed into "paying" for winmx and getting a half program that wouldn't work. By the way~ the money did come off our Credit Card, we got an email from their tech support saying they may charge us $175.00 to research our payment in order to issue a refund, but for now,if we're only out the $40.00 I'll be happy.anyways
......
We got winmx back because we've recently :0) finally gotten high peed internet. now my questions are in regards to media player. we somehow ended up with wmp11, and i really didn't like it so I went back and got wmp9.
all of our music doubled. I keep all the music we have in a folder I made on my C drive called music.
winmx has all incoming downloads going into my documents, owner, my music.
would one of you all be willing to try and download something from me right now, so I know that all our music is there for y'all to see & download if you'd like??? winmx name is bytor772 ( don't ask... hubby did that) lol Is it possible for one of you to do that??? search for me as a user and see if any of our music is there for you to download??? I got a nasty message form someone who told me to get some files before trying to download anything..

Lilbit,

We cant do a search for a user its nearly impossible espcially if we dont know what file names your sharing.. and I dont want to know that here. If you want a place to test tho we have live help and support in a chat room on the WinMX network

Click on Chat, say yes to the warning. You will see a screen with a list of channels start rolling in and a 'Filter bar' at the top where you can type into. Copy and paste this name into that Filter bar (being very careful not to include extra empty spaces on the end).

Once you have that look for the button on the far right 'Join' and click that and poof .. should bring you right in.. we are very friendly and if you havent ever been in the chats before its ok too. Just let them know you need someone to test a upload. You can also find your own name in the user list (on the righ after you enter the room) and right click and choose Browse.. and see your own files as they look for others.

Im sorry, I cannot find where to go for the chat.. I think i just downloaded something here wcs

Hun on your WinMX.. there is a button called Chat. Click this
Next a warning box will open saying blah blah if your easily offended and stuff.. say yes.

Then you can copy and paste that name i posted above

Name and numbers into that 'Filter bar' which you will see near the top of the 'Chat' Screen on WinMX. on the far right after you paste that name there .. click Join.

I did tell them your coming and what you need.. so if no one answers you when you first get there.. just stay there and wait for folks to get to the PCs...
