problem getting list of files

Need a little help.........The last time I used my WinMX, I had no problem.........about 5 months ago.
Now.......I can connect to the network with no problems (both Primary and secondary), but when I do a search, nothing happens.
I tried the latest Pie hosts patch, and I noticed it said in the window at the top 'Patch Operational'. Still no results.
I've opened ports on my router as before when it worked perfectly, but still no go. Even tried different ports.
Any ideas to get things working again?

I'm pretty sure I have that patch installed already. Looking in the WinMX program folder, the OLEDLG.DLL file is present.
My router and firewall are all set properly, and as I said, WinMX worked perfectly when last used. When I got no search results, I tried installing the PIE Hosts file patch.
The only software changes since then was replacing Norton AV with BitDefender.
Do I need to re-install the patch you're referring to, and remove the PIE Hosts file?
......Help appreciated.

Found the problem..........went through the settings in BitDefender, and backed off the privacy/spyware control.
WinMX appears to be working again.
