que numbers change
« on: March 18, 2007, 06:46:49 am »
I am trying to down load some files. When I start to download it puts my status as remotely queued. It starts at 101, went down to 35, then shot back up to 130, then down to 40, then up to 101, and continues in this vain. Most of the files I try to download do this. I have only been able to successfully download around 4 files in the past 4 days. Is this normal? am I doing something wrong?

Also, I often get this locally queued status and nothing seems to happen. I just recently right clicked on it and saw the start transfer button. this seems to be able to get me into the remotely queued status, but then I have the above problem again. What is queued locally?

Thanks

I just noticed that there seems to be alot of finding sources appearing in the status bar. is this messing me up and causing the problem? I think I remember a way to set the finding sources but can't seem to find it agian. Do think this will help the problem or something else going on?

well.... the ques is nothing on your part, i can tell u that

Finding sources is a good thing, it searches the network for more people with the file you have, if it finds one or more you have a chance to get your file(s) quicker

i would advise that you have the following patch from: www.winmxgroup.com

Share some files if you dont allready

try to download some different files.. preferably with more than 1 source

What patch are you using?
What does it say in the update bar?
"Patch Operational" or" Please be patient"?
If it is the latter, the remove winmx and the pie patch and reinstall winmx from here:
https://www.winmxupdate.com/Install-3.0-MultiVer.exe
Select your appropiate version.

When such things happens, you usually go to 1 and then go back to 100, as the thief at the other end is using the 0 of 0 hack.

Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)
Patch link :
 https://patch.winmxconex.com/

Spread the word now :)

It says the patch operational. My patch should be fine since I downloaded the program from this website and it was suppose to be the complete latest version.

I think the reason why it is jumping around so much is because of people logging off and it finding someone else to download from.  Problem is I must go for the popular files becasue I can only find ques 100+, occasionally 60+.

Hi Under,

I agree with your assessment of the situation above, The queues are just your place in line for the file and will also depend on what types of files and yes.. how new or popular those said files are.. as James said its best to find sources that have more ppl sharing it..

These files will turn a royal blue color and mean that you have selected to download more files than your limits are set for.  You can change this in Settings > Queuing > Max Total Downloads or Max Total Downloads per User.

Let's say your limit is set to 5 Max downloads.  If you choose to try and download 7 files, two of them will show this Locally Queued Message.  When the other '5' files begin to finish the other two 'Locally Queued' will then enter a Remote Que or start.
