KM  no you didn't miss anything and yes that is on every page "in the forum"  Not on every one of our websites and myspaces that alot of members have

also not all members want to load lots of images and store them, so i offered they use my photobucket image for winmx

and thanks Tiny, will add your sites to my site in 2 mins,

thats 1 done, now for the other 20 million ppl

ahh... could just use the logo directly from here if you wanted, site uses so much bandwidth anyway it's not like it'd be noticed - then it'd automatically update for the christmas/new years things too

although normally i think they use different ones for advertising rather than the plain logo

Removed logo off my photobucket, thats why its gone because im not promoting winmx anymore, it seems like 1 rule for the mods and another for us humans,
mods slag us off, but if we reply we are told in a polite way "shut up or be banned"

Ok.. I've had it.  Let me just say right now that Ive taken a walk after reading this.. trying to calm down a bit .. and re read your comments..taking into consideration that you were upset a few days ago..I let those rude and abusive comments slide in another thread. 

Unfortunately even after taking that walk.. smelling flowers.. enjoying a nice spring day.. after re reading this above Im furious...still!

First thing I have to say is we are ALL HUMAN, we are WinMX users just like yourself, we get passionate, we get stressed, we get right pissed off, we get happy and we laugh.  We are no different then any other user on this site.  And I resent the implications that we have put ourselves or the Moderators on this site on any kind of pedestal.

1. If your not happy with the moderator staff here Max, thats fine..I can respect that, but your becoming just as bad.. (no worse because you cant let it go), as any 'mods' here that have upset you. 

2. Id love to see this 'polite shut up or be banned' comment you speak of.  To my knowledge there was no such comments made anywhere.  I will admit when threads turn to abuse of one another I tend not to read as carefully.. as most users do I just move on.

On that same subject, as it seems relative to your continued aggravated posts here Max, Id say this.. Was it a great idea what Bearded said about the spelling.. No was your response to it any better no.. so what you want us to do?  You only going to be happy if we tie him up to a stake and burn him for being upset and letting that show in his post?  Shall we then do the same to you for being upset?  Is no one that is a moderator here allowed an opinion or to be upset about comments made?  God forbid..

Lately this is the major reason you wont see me post on threads like that one, I have been accused of not having a real opinion only catering to 'whatever KM says to do' or 'going along with Ghostship to play nice' and Im quite sick of it.  Im human, I use the shit out of WinMX like the rest of you do, and im just as entitled to my OWN opinion as the rest of you.  Ive put my own countless hours into helping users and this site to become what it is good, bad or other and so.. here is my opinion. 

Your taking all this way to personally Max.  This thread .. this one was a great idea.  You seem to have lost your cool over the fact that more ppl didnt jump on this bandwagon or that .. I dont know you didnt see us as supporting it or .. hell I have no idea why.. But let me explain something to you right now.  I have personally started 10 or 20 threads on this site asking for action on something.. looking for help with things and gotten zilch replies or help.  I have personally gone to users and given ideas that got shot down.  Did i turn around and act like your are now? 
We had a DIGG for the new patch,, if more ppl would have replied it would have been nationally picked up and syndicated news telling everyone about the new patch and winmx.. we got a whole 18 digs and it died a horrible death.. My point is this is enough.

If your unhappy here.. fine.. no one is forcing you to stay.  If you are wanting a public lynching of Bearded its NOT going to happen anymore then I'd allow a public lynching of you for the same.  The only reason your reading this now is because you keep posting about it.

I have talked to Bearded about that post, exactly the same way Ive talked to you about posts made on this site.. small 'heat of the moment' mistakes or comments made and if you think im favoring him because hes him your wrong and you dont know me at all.


Ive had enough of this crap.  Either lets move on with those good ideas of yours Max and leave the bickering behind us on this or move on period.  Your a great person Max, you've personally helped me and who can count how many ppl on this site with useful things, please lets move on.

I would just like to say, I'm sorry I lost my cool, for what that's worth, I suppose it's not really an excuse that I'd been under a lot of stress & pressure, but I felt attacked for "doing nothing" about a thread (this one) that I hadn't even SEEN till that same day, as I said elsewhere I'd been away.

Personally I support publicising WinMX, I have done so, with my own website, by personal messages on MSN etc, to all my contacts.

I would like to suggest though that you consider the nature of this forum, for the typical user, they come here with a specific problem, they may search for a solution, or post asking for one, but they'll rarely even open sections unrelated to their specific issue.

It therefore seems to me unreasonable to expect an avalanche of response to a post in what is effectively a backwater, it's a good idea as far as it goes, but here may be one of the less effective places for gaining publicity, you're basically preaching to the choir, most who read sections of the forum such as this have done or are doing what they can towards publicity already....

there are 3 types of users
1. the standard user, they just want to use winmx and really don't know/care much beyond getting whatever file it is they are after
2. the ones who are in to the community side of it, they want to help out, and generally are already doing all they can to help
3. the bastards, best to just ignore them

the ones this thread is about is type 2

those people won't jump on any threads like this, because they've mostly already done it

to know there was one that could be used for myspace and a code would also mean reading something about it in one of the threads that ask ppl about it perhaps  (otherwise they would have asked about the copyright as well b4 assuming it was agreeable to use)
