Change: Loose on the upload queve
« on: April 28, 2007, 10:12:30 am »
I have noticed a change seens i got myself a new connection with a router modem (did not have router before)
and thath change is clearly..thath my own upload queve have started to be wery wery short, i share 1700 video files, and i noticed thath thoose files used to generate atleast 100 users in Queve with my old connection,
now 3 month later with a new ISP, with the exact same files shared as before, i dont even get over 10 in Q
and you check the people thath share the same genre and..often same files..thei have over 100 Q

what i see is thath people get into my queve..BUT thei seem to fall out of it again after some minutes only, i dont have thath problem myself with others..so its strange,
i dont gain anything of this, just loose trade opportunities  :(

i have portforwarded the router succesfully, so i can download, i can get into chat rooms, and i can upload...but i have gotten alone and isolated cause of this queve change

right now i have been online 11 hours with 1700 files..and i have 4 in queve.
i believe this must be a router issue??

if i started to use my old DSL modem again, im pretty sure thath the queve will be back in old values..but i loose in other ways if i change back,
Im a primary connection bye the way, 28 Mbit ADSL throu telephone line

i have Mx monitor "ON" but i have checked and there are no settings thath would cause this, i have not even changed any settings seens i used Winmx with my old connection

any ideas what is causing this?

My router

its closed now, the chanse thath it just added users to ignore list is now gone, unfortentley i still can't pass 10, i see thath people can't stay i Q
for long
i have created a static IP with this router..i guess portforwarding aint possible without it? otherwise i would have tested without "static" offcorse

just a note, only the "protocol range" have values in the winmx portforward settings,  others=blank

That is correct for your Router Bla_Mocka,

Curious, did you create two rules though?

1. TCP and then put in your port range  ex:  TCP    6699 - 6699
2. UDP and then put in your port range ex:   UDP   6257 - 6257

of course if your still having the other problems of disconnections as in the other thread this could have something to do with this also.  Have you tried using secondary instead for now?

yes i created two rules just like thath, have not tried secondary, so many dis-advantages so i have avoided it, but i guess i have no choice now  :D

If its configured properly there are not many disadvantages at all.  Normally a well configured (ports set and firewalls set up) Secondary can work just as well or better then a primary connection for many users.  The only disadvantage I can think of is when you browse a user you will only be able to see 3000 files.

You can however still share as many files as you would like.

I have tested seconady connection, i did not notice any Q change with it, i noticed however after 5 minute active thath i could all of a sudden not whois ore browse anyone any longer, and could not get into queve on thoose..took 5 minutes to connect with winmx when choosing secondary

however i think we should let this thread rest..seens it was created in the beliefe thath my other problem was fixed, so i better focus on thath for now, and  i have some interesting news on thath matter now :)
