still having download issues

i can't download anything the downloads never turn green and before they never turn green they say "waiting for incoming connection" "timed out waiting for incoming connection" "waiting for network reply" or "connecting to remote user" idk whats going on..........i use windows firewall and windows xp sp2 in windows firewall winmx is set to allowed its not a blocked program from connecting or anything and i clicked the add port tab the other day and put the name "winmx" and the port number 6699 and clicked the tcp circle and then i added the port number 6257 and clicked the udp circle that should be correct way to do it right.......i just know i'm not getting any downloads i went to a help room on winmx i got a mp3 from a helper in there that turned green but thats it..............please help?

hi Mill,

My first question is are you running the WinMX Group patch?  Does your WinMX say 'Patch Operational' on the top?  If not or your not sure please install the latest patch.

For 3.53 or 3.31 users get this file go to this page:

Please download and save the file named 'Various WinMX Versions + Patch'  Then run it with WinMX off.

For 3.54 users get the file listed on the home page at:

https://www.winmxgroup.com/   Then run it with WinMX off.

Once we are sure your not finding fake files in your searches we can be sure the sources are real.  If you still have problems with them turning red, then open your WinMX Settings > Search > Default Download Parameters and look for the button that says 'AEQ - remember previous' or it may say 'Auto Enter Que - 10'  We want this number higher.. 50 for audio files and if you do video files use 100.

This should ensure that your able to get in line to wait your turn for more files.  They should turn pruple meaning your in que.
