MPAA Release More Fake Piracy Figures

Just when you thought they had learned to count folks they prove us all wrong.

Remember in the last few months how the movie industry was hyping up the idea that Canada was the center for camcording movies? This was bogus for many reasons -- with the biggest being that movies recorded in theaters on camcorders are a tiny, tiny part of the counterfeit market. It's much more common to actually get a movie leaked from an insider and then have the real copy spread around. However, the MPAA kept claiming (without any evidence) that Canada was a hotbed of this activity -- accounting for approximately 50% of camcorded movies. However, now the same movie industry is claiming that New York City is responsible for 40% of camcorded movies. That would mean that only 10% of camcorded movies come from outside New York City or Canada -- a number that hardly seems realistic especially given an entirely different report from the movie industry that highlighted how camcorded movies were happening in many states across the US. It seems like the movie industry just makes up numbers. The reason they're doing so, of course, is to push for stronger legislation in their favor.

You got to laugh at these morons, buying up a few members of congress seems their main aim, but they seem unable to pay someone to do the maths on their ridiculous claims, reading through the comments on the same article page I see someone has worked out their claimed worldwide loss based on this latest claim and it says 7  1/2 million globally not the billions they claim, not that I believe any of their false figures, but it shows how two can play the numbers game.

Well, it is a little known fact that 174% of the Canadian pirates are actually Martians, and an overwhelming 9318% of New Yorkers have never even heard of movies. However, when you couple this with the actual financial loss figures, it turns out that some guy named Bob (who lives in an igloo in Antarctica) is responsible for the whole piracy thing.

Just thought I would shed some light on this and supply all the relevant data.

Best Regards, and Be Good!

hahaha Scyre

The best way to get a point across is to give all of your "facts" at once. How would that happen in this case? They would probably attribute 160% of all recordings in one way and then claim that the number is so high because camcorders are bought in New York and shipped to Canada and viase versa.
Downloading is an addiction I do not want to give up.

That all goes back to Bob (in Antarctica). He was the one who invented the camcorder. Either way you look at it its all Bob's fault.

Lmfao.. Yes but Bob has a brother who lives in the igloo next door. His name is Tom. Tom was the one who gave the idea of inventing the camcorder to Bob. So, really its Toms fault.
