Thanx to you all for getting a new patch out so soon   well done
A few questions

Will the link for the new patch stay the same so i can add a link in my room ?
For those who use the ws 32 dll  for third party things like fx server is this going to continue working or will there be a new release?
Does new patch work for all versions of windows ?
If someone switched to pie patch and now wants to come back does the new patch over write pie ?
Do we still need to use peergurdian 2 ?


I switched to the pie patch when winmxgroup went down and quickly relised why i didnt like using pie. Having to use peer guardian to block the fakes/flooders consumed allot of my own bandwidth. Now iam back on your patch which blocks the fakes etc at the server my bandwidth is now my own again thnx

i didnt want to start another post as i have started this one but i just wanted to point out what someone is going around the room on mx saying

I'm not sure about that. I've heard alot of rumours about Winmx World.

It's just a matter of, are they true or not.

the patch works great, BUT it overwrites your old HOST file without making a back up

The new host files are correct. You do need for them to be backed up. The ones you are now on are now correct.

That is good news that you are connected and happy winmxing.

Any other replies to my original questions please, we having probs with the progs we run with the ws 32 dll    like fx server version 1.3.9  and mettis 2.7  where u have to add ips manually to connect to wpn ?

That installer should overwrite the hosts file entries yes, but pie has been known to be stubborn at times and a uninstall of it from Add/Remove usually works.

Do we still need to use peergurdian 2 ?

Not with the set up for the new dll on that above link you dont, it has blocking and filtering built in.

The Pie Patch IMO is Absolute Crap
Will link the front page in my room as well  TY TY TY
