can d/l but can't u/l

 I'm running on Windows Vista and a Verizon DSL modem.  I can connect through verizon and through AOL.  I can download from other users but I can't get other users to connect to me.  Winmx waits for an incoming connection for a least 2 minutes and then times out.

  I would really like to frustrated that I can't give back to those I am d/l from.  Any help would be appreciated.

 P.S.  I've used WinMx for many years with no problems before switching to Vista.

Hi GorHar,

Id say the first step will be to make sure that your DSL modem (if it has a built in router as most do) has ports set up for WinMX.  You can find your brand and model here: 
http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Then click it, then click on WinMX from the next page and follow the steps.

Its also worth mentioning that Vista has a built in firewall like XP and that will also need to be configured to allow WinMX.
