thanks ñòóKýçrÕôK, i did know about avast & the winmx issue,
with the fxs1.3.10better it has been spotted on more that 1 program, there was 2 reports if it being a virus from 2 people i know, they use different anti-virus software,
another told me her spyware remover had it marked at a trojan, and a firewall would not let it connect, seeing it as being dangerous.
in all 4 instances they have all reverted to the fxs1.3.9 and have no problems with this, i run this myself and i did run an fx better and yes my pro firewall killed it as dangerous the moment it stared.

Well, at the moment. That page comes in handy. It lets users see how much the 1.x.x.x stuff is still effecting the network. (Shows how many people still haven't updated)

I honestly think the site shouldn't be public, but it is a nice tool to have when you need to see info like that. He made it as a tool for himself. Only thing he's doing, is having it display some packets instead of doing something else with them.

But while it's still up, I will continue to check the page to see if the 1.x.x.x stuff is becoming less. I hope to see it completely vanish from there within a week or so, but that all depends on if the users will update from the old version of WCS.

Having visited KM,s site this morning I was most pleased to see many had not updated and in fact have switched servers, the number of users now on WCS is around 80 and dropping as more folks are made aware of his anti-winmx activities over the last month.

KM has now removed the counter that shows this sudden drop, I think we all know why.

My thanks go out to all those users who helped KM take action by removing his buggy server program and drawing it to his attention that abusing the network and our trust is not the way to act.

All folks still using WCS should get this special tool I think

If i have understood there is a solution for the the server Ouka (news connections) for Wcs (news connections too) but for the Fx server is there a solution ? A lot rooms are hosted under Fx and many Op have made scripts for this server ... And today with have only 2 solutions to host ... To turn with peerguardian and block the attack (it's not the best one solution the stabily of the room isn't the top ) or the second solution to change the server for Wcs or Ouka (not the best solution too ! because we must to change severals part of scripts in the bot) ... And the site for the Fx server is down ... Can you tell me please if there is a possibilty for an update or an addon or a new version prochainly ? Thank you !!!

Quicks, it`s normal to see only 80 WCS rooms since KM removed [WCS] from the topic in the RC versions...

Then that doesn't mean there are less WCS rooms hosted...

When it comes down to it. WCS is the best feature wise. Yes it had it's run in with a harmful bug that hurt the network, and he was very slow at fixing it. But when has KM not been slow on making WCS releases? He's known for his slowness even. All that matters is the bug is finally fixed, I will continue using it. So will other's that would like a pretty decent room, and others will just perfer other things.

But I have a hobby of making stuff for bots, and WCS just happens to be the best server to do that kind of thing. So I'll always continue using it, like I have for the past many years. I don't see me swithing unless someone makes something better. Which isn't going to happen any time soon.

Also, KM's count gets the channel ID to know if it's WCS or not. So it'll read correctly even if [WCS] isn't included. I think the drop in server's had to do with upgrades, and maybe a bad channel list for a while. The count is climbing again, and I bet it'll keep going up.

I agree with James, WCS seems to be one of the better choices for servers. As for changing any host knows how much work is involved and has to make their own decision on that. I think that he also has a point more ppl are going to use the WCS server as time goes on, but in my opinion i will keep looking for viable option so i am prepared when another "bug" shows itself.

my wife noticed that once i changed to new servers she was able to stay in the room and do other stuff as well instead of the constant falling out she had issues with b4.

As a group we can recomend or not recomend a program. this one is still up in the air and has not had enough time to show whether good or bad
