How does the Search function work?

I would like to know more about how the MX Search function works.

Sometimes when I Search for key words the returns do not include any of the words I searched for. Does this mean that Search looks at things other than the file's title, such as folder titles or ID Tags? Or is there something else going on that I haven't thought of? Thanks.

The search function looks for anything in the path that might match, something Macrovision and MediaDefender use often to make seraches hit you harder.  If when this happens you click the 'Show Full Path' button on the search screen, you'll often then see those key words..
